My only change would be that the stuff that makes life fun, meaningful and purposeful, the work we do, the value we create should also be given in exchange for that food and shelter as well. People used to get themselves off welfare because they were ashamed and there was a stigma attached. Today after generations of welfare recipients there is no desire to get off welfare and their fun meaningful life, the value they create is drugs and crime. Not all, but that is the path unless we change the way the basic human rights are distributed.
