'The biggest problem facing this country is that we have a very vocal minority who want a gov't that doesn't require taxes and runs on fumes. Our problem is a political and cultural one. One that has gotten so severe it is causing us economic hardship' The biggies lower taxes and little regulation. I find it amazing how over and over so many bring that up either for greed in their own business that took a big hit post bust and (or) watching FOX talking points since 2008. They all think the housing/credit bubbles bursting didn't matter, the record wealth disparity, the deleveraging taking place ongoing post bust doesn't matter and we'll pick up right where we left off and J6P will go back up to his eyeballs in debt again to acquire more 'stuff' if we cut taxes for Lebron James and let Lloyd Blanfein run wild again at Goldman. Something like 11.5% of GDP was linked to home equity extraction during the peak bubble years.. Now that is all gone, has reversed and people are frightened, scared and exhausted..
