<But not fast enough for those young lives that have suffered a painful death>. I'll take that as an accusation, even though I am not specialized in viral-infection.

Believe or not, most people working in drug development do take their responsiblilty seriousely. The difficult part is the science. Any major progress of the fundamental biological mechanism could be translated into products in short period time, esp., for life-threading diseases such as AIDS.

The vaccine might never come because (1). HIV is a 'stealth' virus, its outer-coat contains lots of suger side-chain which can be changed dramatically to evade immuno-detection; (2). This coat might acturally help the virus to be recignized by T-cells & facilitates the infection. So in the forseeable future, controlling HIV proliferation is the only way of preventing AIDS initiation & progression. In the mean time, GPH will do good, not like most other biotechs with 'unlimited' potential & no product.

BTW I don't quite know how this new T-cell treatment works. Please info me on it.

best regard/james
