TJ, you are obviously speed reading every 100th word or it would not have escaped you that Great Britain is not really great these days and that the decline has closely followed the decline in application of Virtuous Victorian Values which still exist, like hedgehogs hanging on for survival here and there in the hedges of the suburbs.

You apparently mistakenly think said virtuous values are rampant on Oxford Street in broad daylight like tourists at Trooping the Colour.

I have explained that for you already. And also explained the lack of brilliance and fantabulousness elsewhere in China despite your belief in genetic clonedom of fantabulousness in the promised land. China lacks Virtuous Victorian Values and will not succeed other than by continuing to work for low pay. In the 1980s there was common thinking that Japan would rule the world. Oooops a daisy. Now there is an equally mistaken belief which is also common that in a decade or three, China will be GDP per capita world champion and otherwise splendiferous. While we wait, a man who has had pancreatic cancer, years of treatment and then a liver transplant has nevertheless led his company to superlative glory which is not available to greedy shysters who do not subscribe to said VVV.

Said VVV have been translated into the local dialect in Hong Kong and adopted, in part, which is the reason for Hong Kong's somewhat success. Long may it continue and hopefully hop the border and spread across China. With the untender ministrations from Beijing which includes shooting escapers in the back, we should not hold our breath. People who can do so in China are still swarming for foreign passports to get an escape hatch, depositing gold in dribs and drabs in remote locales for scuba access and other survival processes.
