I went with the smart phone instead of dumb phone / tablet combo because I found the tablet just to big to lug around.. so I am comprising on screen size.. Last night while watching my kid at hockey practice I could check all I needed from the phone.. granted I would not use it for heavy duty reading... not practical.. at home I only crawl into bed with my wife.. no tv there or anything there :O) I agree though on the tablet.. ultimately I will end up there... just not best fit right now... EDIT: Daughter has MacBook Pro.. comparative battery life.. to my Windoze notebooks is outstanding....
