BS, that's better than nothing but quite misleading. For example the NZ entry is plain wrong.

It doesn't mention for example that nobody had a vote in NZ 1845, not just Maoris, other than property owners. Maoris maintained their tribal areas as per the agreement but not all Maoris signed, for example Tuhoe didn't. So the legal solution provided by the treaty was a hopeless apartheid regime giving Maoris a special place as Europeans had in South Africa.

Also, NZ government has not been independent ever with some remnants such as the Privy Council only being dropped in the 21st century. Even now, Queen Elizabeth II remains the sovereign.

That link was a good start, but you need to read more intricately to get more realistic descriptions of what happened.

Already, the same process is underway with China pouring money, technology, people and control into Africa. They hire ElM who "knows how to treat The Negro". If I was African, I'd prefer to have the English empire rather than the Made in China dog eat dog version. The British version produced Hong Kong. Note that the next door territories with similar if not cloned people did NOT achieve the same as Hong Kong.
The British version also produced Singapore. The local yokels in both cases adopted substantial components of VVV and now enjoy their success. Across the creek, China does not.

Plus ca change,

Mqurice
