Hi Dennis:

Looks like the Street's perception of Intel is the same
as yours judging by today's close; still, even if I'd bought
it way back when, it'd be long gone from my portfolio by
now at these prices. Maybe it's got a long way to go yet.

Cyrix is very, very speculative but they're new 686 cpu's
and 75Mhz boards are getting great benchmark reviews
so, who know, maybe they'll succeed at long last. They
have a problem with production and diversity but they
might luck out with a partner.

IMAX scouts were in town yesterday looking at the new
developments down at the Promenade. That's a downtown
street that is pedestrian only except for the tram that runs
down along there past the convention center and on to
Shoreline Village and the Downtown Marina. Sega and
some partners are planning some kind of entertainment
and restaurant row along there with hotels and nightclubs.
Nothing's been finalized yet and the way our inept city
bureaucrats work we won't believe it until we see it.

Still, they did get a pretty good start around the corner on
the downtown redevelopment: there's a new AMC 16-plex
theater, three new hotels, and lots of new clubs and
restaurants. They just doubled the size of the convention
center and it appears to be doing pretty well judging by the
number of tourists and conventioneers we've been seeing.

IMAX has also been scouting quite a few other areas down
here and they appear to be doing better than ever so your
investment will probably turn out to be a good one.
