NJ, You wrote freely about being a street organizer and your training; hence, I ask out of curiosity as to
how much a street organizer---community organizer gets paid or got paid when you were doing that job.

You gave so much information that I felt it quite logical to inquire as to what you were paid.

Sufficient amount of wages, fringes, and conditions of employment to keep us subject to work 24 hours and 7 days a week if the call was required. It was long hours and many times you are away from home extended periods of time. The stress level was extremely high since much of the time was in tense conflict resolution.

Yes, I am not going to going to tell you what we made. It was sufficient to keep us happy and support our families. It was the best training I had for serving in a managerial position later in life, i.e. how to treat employees and customers and community constituents, deal with financial management, media relations, political action, marketing, conflict resolution and legal matters, etc.
