Probably a bit heavy handed and the international out cry would be enormous I don't think so, in fact I would also mine the border one mile deep so any asshole who wants to cross it is welcome... and I really don't give a rat's ass about "international out cry," when a politician is concerned about what others might think, it makes me laugh, protecting our borders is not subject to global consensus, it needs to be protected, what the rest of the world thinks is not my concern... you do what you need to do to get the job done and fuck everyone else, that's my motto...
