The Wastech System has revolutionized the renewable energy industry with the ability to economically convert all types of organic and inorganic waste to valuable fuel oil and carbon product and produce no other air or solid waste pollution while utilizing no use of landfill space. Wastech machines are fully automated and the operation can be run by a small semi skilled labor force and machine payback periods are short. In most situations for a complete “turnkey” operation payback is less than 3 years after commencement of production. Eco Energy Management is the Only company to bring this revolutionary technology to Florida. madduxpress.com Plant Overview wastechsystems.com This advanced technology two stage system is a continuous feedstock system which operates under normal pressures making it easier to control the explosive fuel gas containing hydrogen discharged during the pyrolysis process. This makes “Wastech” technology much safer than traditional systems which operate under high pressures. As this system is continuous, it does not have to be shut down to cool the rising temperatures and reduce the high pressures incurred by processing systems that use a traditional pyrolysis method. Also since this system does not have to be shut down it is much more energy efficient than any batch system. This advanced two stage system uses a mixed heat source incorporating self generated bio-gas and steam. By incorporating steam the feedstock materials are heated uniformly throughout as the steam penetrates into the center of the feedstock material. This process is much more efficient than the limitations of one single heat source. Further, once the pyrolysis process is initiated in this system, mixed fuel gas is created and conditioned in the Gastec system, the dioxins, sulfur and other toxic materials are removed and the clean fuel gas is reused as a fuel source for the combustion chamber. In essence this system, once started, creates its own fuel, thereby eliminating the need for an external fuel or energy source. The Wastech system utilizes a fast pyrolysis, short processing time, minimal energy consumption, complete treatment of organic material, high quality by-products and a safer pyrolysis process through the use of indirect heat and steam. “Wastech” can operate at temperatures up to 850C in the second stage. This advanced two stage process is necessary to completely process various organic waste materials requiring different temperatures to treat them. It is impossible to treat a wide range of organic compounds in single stage process units. Although most organic compounds can be cracked between 350C and 420C only 95% of organic compounds will be converted to fuel oil and fuel gas below 450C leaving 5% of organic material unprocessed. To treat the remaining 5% of organic material a higher temperate is required, so the advanced two stage process is used which can operate at temperatures up to 850C. To crack used tires for instance, a suggested temperature of 500C and 600C is needed in the second stage. These are temperatures that single heat source systems can not achieve. The large “Wastech WTS 2500” machine will completely convert used tire chip to fuel oil, carbon, tire steel and bio-gas in a continuous operation. The tire steel is separated from the carbon and sold as high quality steel for foundries. This advanced two stage process operates at an energy efficiency exceeding 85% The two stage system uses steam to produce a fuel oil of uniform quality by controlling the crack temperature. Low quality furnace oil can be produced if there is local demand or it will produce a light fuel oil similar to diesel containing less than 1% sulfur and can achieve sulfur content as low as 0.3% without the use of a catalyst. This lower sulfur content oil commands a higher selling price and produces very little tar, increasing the value and making the by-products more attractive to consumers. The quality of carbon black is dependant to some degree on the molecular structure of the feed stock but if the feed stock is good, the advanced two stage system produces a carbon black with less than 0.1% oil content which meets the N220 or N330 carbon black specifications and has a BET rating or 120-800 (“Adsorption Surface Area”). The resulting carbon black has a high iodine absorption rate and high surface area making it a desirable by-product. This indiscernible amount of oil is significant because any higher oil content in the carbon black will cause a chemical reaction and adversely affect the process in plastic or rubber production. If carbon black contains an oil compound it will burn and can only be sold as low quality product for specific applications. The Wastech system is an advanced technology total cracking system producing a high quality carbon black and the fast cracking time of less than 15 minutes increases the efficiency of operation over competing systems. “Wastech” is multi-purpose using any kind of organic material, coal, rubber, plastic, organic waste, chemical sludge etc, and can remove mercury and other toxic substances. “Wastech” requires no flare off or landfill and is free of air pollution and carcinogenic dioxins. There are no secondary pollutants. The by-products of the two stage system are bio gas, oil, steam recovery, carbon black, fertilizer and noble metal, depending on the feedstock input materials used. This advanced two stage pyrolysis operation produces no air pollution and requires no land fill for disposal of waste materials. Wastech machines are fully automated and the operation can be run by a small semi skilled labor force and machine payback periods are short. In most situations for a complete “turnkey” operation payback is less than 3 years after commencement of production. wastechsystems.com |
