Stan, Iomega has already announced that the rebate will be extended. I don't remember how long the rebates will be good to now, but I expect that once the rebate ends, along will come the permanent price cut.

I suspect that Iomega won't be able to get away with closing the rebate without a price cut. I know that if I wanted a $200 product and I could get a $50 rebate... and then it ended... I'd be inclined to wait for another 'sale/rebate'. People would just end up milling around until some price cut happened again.

Along the same lines, I think that by the time the price cut comes will also be the unveiling of the Zip200 (400?). Just my thoughts on the matter.

Have a good weekend folks.

Chris
