The single biggest hardware problem I ever have is with video cards and I own several of them from several different vendors. Diamond gets top honours from resellers insofar as support goes and it's hard to give that anything but positive spin. As irritating as they are, I don't worry that much about broken drivers since they can be fixed quickly and updates can be downloaded without much trouble.
