You did not address the gist of my post, that most opinions on AGW are based on politics, not science.

I find it extremely curious, and certainly statistically unexplainable, that virtually all of the posters on the left believe in AGW, while virtually all on the right do not.

I am for the moment excluding you since you do seem to have more knowledge than most, not that it is necessarily comprehensive or up to date.

The fact that a pre-existing political bias seems to be utterly predictive of views on AGW tells me that most posters's views on the subject are essentially worthless. If posters with a tilt to the left questioned AGW or if posters on the right accepted it, then the discussion would be a lot more interesting. The existence of those posters would suggest that some measure of independent non-political thinking is going on. As it is, it appears that most are married to their pseudo-scientific opinions on the basis of political beliefs. They are in my estimation issuing strongly worded opinions, etc., through their rear trumpet. Political bias has no place in scientific matters. Period, full stop.

As I said, I am not in the fray. I have no idea if AGW exists. I have things to consider that interest me a lot more than a subject most laypersons should consider too complex to opine on.
