You only get tax breaks because of your income if your income is low. You might get tax breaks for activities that you do that poor people would find it hard to impossible to do, but they aren't directly because of your income. Even with the tax breaks rich people generally pay a higher total effective tax rate then poor people in the US, usually much higher. It isn't "trickle up" it still redistribution downwards.
