Hi Alphonse,

Actually I'm still ahead some, although I took a loss on this last trade. Another crash or bad earnings would put me behind so I bailed. I already had the puts, and since they represent a small portion of my account and I couldn't see any real advantage to trading them right now, I decided to keep them. If this market keeps up I may start doing some pure short plays on the rebounds.

While I don't agree with your valuation to a buyer, everyone on this thread knows my opinion of Novells marketing. I think Schmidt would make a great neighbor but I don't see the killer instinct of his mentor in his strategy of turning Novell around.

If my memory serves me correctly, Utah is a dry state. I have a sneeking suspicion that part of Novells problem is that anytime the guys get out of state to do a presentation, they go out and get polluted in order to look and feel their very best, bright and early the next morning.

I'll probably go long again next week, but I want to either see numbers that justify a higher price or pick it up around the 52 week low. It's hard saying why I like to play NOVL, considering all the other stocks I follow, maybe it's just because I like the thread.

Regards,

Don
