Chris,
I think you're spot on, except for (IMO) when the new Zip arrives. I agree that IOMG will probably announce on October 1ish a new Zip100 price of $149/139 or something in that range. But, I doubt they will introduce a new version of Zip until after the XMAS season and most likely until after the after XMAS year-end sales. If they introduced a Zip200 or 400 now that would most likely rock some OEM boats. If they wait until February they can allow their OEM partners to push the PCs with the latest and greatest Zip (the 100) through the holiday season, and then IOMG can take advantage of all the PC owners who didn't buy PCs with Zips. Why would this new owner then go after a Zip, they realize that their brand new PC with a 1.2GB HD is already half full. They go back to their dealer who then recommends a 200/400MB external Zip for $199, with 200/400 MB disks for only $29 or even better $19.95 - again JMO.

cheers
