The louder the talk of reversion to the so-called historical mean of 16:1, the greater my desire to sell off my PM holdings. Ditto talk of $5k, $10k gold, or $200 silver.

Who among us doesn't remember the feverish talk of Cisco becoming the first Trillion Dollar Company when it's market cap reached 600 and some billion (meaning just another 50+% at the bubble's zenith and it would be there).

By the way, fast forward 12 years, and Cisco's market cap is only 90 billion, a drop of 85%. It looks way better when compounded annually, though.
