Jack, you said:"Corel has announced that they're going to beat MSFT
at their own game by undercutting prices; that might be a little harder to believe."

Corel recently filed a complaint against the Department of Defense
for switching over from WordPerfect to MSFT Word even though Corel came in about $9 million less on the tender (the DOD was their largest client).

$9 million, $10 million who cares ?. The DOD put up the defense that the suite of products from Corel was incompatable with some of their software.

Like Noorda filing anti-competitive complaints regarding DR DOS, Corel is now wasting time and resources doing the same. You and I both know that MSFT has taken hold of the workstation environment. MSFT products are wonderful and who would want to introduce third party software
only to run into problems with compatability issues ?

I would not be surprised to see the MSFT 32-bit Client for NetWare
behave abnormally on my workstation once it is installed. Either that or it is going to be missing some pieces that would make NDS look like any ordinary flat file. MSFT is out to keep NOVL at bay and it would be unwise to underestimate Bill Gates. He is out to ensure NT gains the lions share.
