Lets begin with two cult stocks, NGD and AAPL. These are two "must own, nothing could ever go wrong" lifetime retirement stocks as preached by the cult members. Can you find truly nutty posts on SI that are highly amusing? Here is one: Message 27637628. Do you notice the disturbing childlike behaviour of adults comparing toys with one another? These devices are never used for productive endeavors. Can you retain the reserve currency status with people who want to gossip all day long? I don't think so. Here is one for gold: Message 27637343 But when does a safe haven fail to be a safe haven. Apparently, the argument used against Treasuries does not apply to Gold. When the chart looks like a parabola, is that a safe haven?
