<<<A (as In one?) high speed T1 line (1.544Mb/s) links the telephone equipment room the the internet. On the surface this is disconcerting. Could it be a typo?? Did they really mean multiple T1 lines linked to the internet? Or, are we seeing our first choke point?>>>

Milkman --

I suspect there's what is and what will be and between them lies a gulf.

<<<The service, to be marketed as ADSL OnSiteSM, initially involves up to 1,000 residential units at the Mariners Village apartment complex in Marina Del Rey, Calif., . . . "Nearly 50 residents of Mariners Village have been using ADSL service for the past few months as part of a trial, and they love it . . .>>>>

They will deploy up to 1,000 units, but right now there are 50 involved in the trial who will no doubt be turned into commercial customers. I don't know the capacity of T-1 lines, but would one be sufficient for 50 users? I don't know how to put 1000 lbs of organic matter into a 100-lb sack, either.

And right now I'm too tired to try and figure it out.

Night!
