>>> especially as Yanks and Bosox struggle with their starting rotations <<<

Shoot, we have more problems than our starting rotation!

Big Papi is out with back spasms and is wearing a back brace. Youkilis has bursitis and is day to day. Gonzales had to be taken out of the game last night for tightness in his calf. He could hardly walk and had to gingerly round the bases after hitting a home run. Varitek is hurt so bad he can't even walk standing upright. He has to lean over like an old man as he shuffles along. JD Drew is still out.

Then there is our set up man, Bard. The pressure has gotten to him. He is showing he's not ready for prime time. He personally blew the game yesterday by giving up 3 runs in the 8th after walking the first 2 batters and making a throwing error on a bunt with the third batter. His ERA over the last 3 games is something like 30! He has an ERA around 8 since the beginning of August when the pressure started to mount. His head is screwed up.

We'll be lucky to make the Wild Card and will lose to Detroit in the first round, provided we make the Wild Card.

Damn disappointing.
