Of course citizens wouldn't pay taxes. Same as I don't rent my own house from me. <so citizens pay no taxes ? >
If foreign workers don't like the arrangement and paying taxes, they can leave, same as now. <what dividends.. since the taxpayers may want some representation ?>
To explain yet again. I worked in Canada, and England, and Belgium. In none of those countries did I have representation. I paid big heap taxes. If I didn't want to do so, I was free to leave. Same now - our daughter and her husband live in London, England, work, pay big tax, have no representation. Too bad for them. If they don't like it, they are free to leave. And no, they are not allowed to go on the dole or otherwise get into the public purse, though they can get emergency medical treatment without charge.
The taxes and other income, such as selling spectrum, fishing rights, air pollution rights, water supplies, electricity line rentals, road use charges, parking fees, border tariffs and whatever else provides income, such as selling $billions in new citizenships each year, would provide excellent dividends to citizens. So much dividend that many if not most wouldn't need to work to pay for a basic way of life [and maybe all].
