Old house were all plumbed originally with iron pipes - then they went to copper pipes - and now they are using plastic piping for water. It's a fascinating transformation. There are reasons these changes came about and it is a dumb plumber that would be still trying to plumb a house with iron pipes as pretty soon he would be broke - for obvious reasons. Keynesian ideas might have applied to England 70 or 80 years ago - I'm convinced the idea really needs to be looked at now though for the reasons I pointed out. I agree about the Tea Party - pretty scary thinking.
