This issue probably is on the ACLU's radar. And they have ruled it as OK I suppose. And the Charter is cleverly written in that they do not specifically mention the teaching of Koran as a condition for admission. But it is a well known fact. They segregate men from women is classrooms which is legal I presume. And it is a small school, just 300 students and they advertise very heavily in the Friday prayers at the mosque. So everything they are doing is legal. It is like a "well known secret."

My grouse is using public funds to promote a religion. Does not matter if it is Islam or Christianity or the Jewish faith. In fact in a neighboring town there is a private school (not Charter) that is run by the Jewish American community.
