Before anyone starts watching DVD movies on their computer, there's going to have to a revolution in display technology. What's the point of a high definition digital movie if you're watching it on a 15" (or even a 21", if you have one) monitor?

The next generation of cheap, high resolution flat screen display technology is years from reaching mainstream consumer markets. Until it gets here, DVD movies are nothing but an expensive toy for techno-geeks.

Don't think DVD movies are the killer ap that will save Intel's profit margins.
