"Continued Flash ROM updates to fix bugs." Admittedly, the Flash ROM updates issued by USR have fixed minor bugs in certain peripheral functions, like password protection for example. However, the Flash ROM updates provided by USR have also dramatically increased the functionality of the product. Two features come to mind: 1.) 33.6k support was added via Flash ROM to existing Courier v.everything modems before it was implemented as a standard feature on new models. 2.) Caller ID support was added in the past few months, again via a Flash ROM upgrade. As for driver development woes, I doubt that the developers are "lazy." Without more information, my inclination is to place blame directly on management. There's a process involved here that clearly hasn't been producing the type of results that Diamond's competitors have been able to achieve. Process improvement is a MANAGEMENT responsibility.
