Doesn't seem like it's working at its current levels.

Krugman and his followers want that increased by an order of magnitude, but the reckless fiscal policies that result from it will itself destroy consumer confidence. Witness the whole debt ceiling fiasco and the S&P downgrade which followed.

Liberal response: Blame it on the Tea Party.

My response: Get our fiscal house in order. That forms the foundation of consumer confidence.
