>Yeah, minimum wage jobs......what we here call jobs for teens, but in LA, these jobs need to feed a family of four........which means the husband and wife have to work two jobs.

I'm seeing that right now in my family; my mother and stepfather have both had their wages and benefits cut, so at almost 60 years old, they're scrambling to make extra income on the side, and my father had his earnings slashed at the same time he's starting to see medical costs come in due to getting older, so he's out looking for a second job and can't find anything over minimum wage.

But as Bush said when confronted by the woman working three jobs to make ends meet, "Ain't that the American way?" (or something thereabouts).... There are a hell of a lot of people at the higher end of the economic scale that like it this way.
