<Do you see the FED's announced policy to buy Long Treasuries and sell Short Treasuries as benefiting GNMA funds?

When I look back at the QE2 announcement in early Nov., VFIIX sold off somewhat after that. Going a long with that it probably matters a lot more what's happening in Europe. GNMA's are doing well lately because of all the fear of Europe blowing up and the US heading back to recession. To the extent the new Fed announcement makes people more bullish and to the extent that Europe stabilizes it would be negative for GNMAs. If things are scary GNMA OK, if things are bullish or stable GNMA not so OK. In terms of duration or maturities it's hard for me to say but VFIIX has fairly short term stuff so if they're selling short and and buying long I imagine it could be a marginal negative but the factors above seem far more important.
