longnshort, Once you run out of stimulus (rich people) then what do you do ? Gov spending doesn't create permanent jobs
Thanks for admitting that the stimulus did assist individuals!!!! The Republicans blocked further economic proposals to keep the economy going forward. How can you blame that on Obama? College graduates do not have a guaranteed job awaiting them anymore. If they do not have the proper "skill sets" which qualify them in the areas of education (trade and higher education), energy (natural gas, electric cars, etc.), infrastructure (highways, train, electrical grid, school renovation), and healthcare, they will have a very difficult time in finding a job. The question is whether an education in sociology, psychology, or general education will be sufficient! IMO, parents and consultants should be advising potential students regarding what the potential employment opportunity will be based on what course of study they select.
Then, as parents are we ready to take into our homes our kids who can not find work in addition to our parents, and grandchildren who return home to live. Our life may be more complex going forward. |
