I'm not sure the Chinese giving support to their solar industry is much different than the Koreans supporting their chip companies that hurt US chip companies... or the US giving tax breaks to its favored industries be it ethanol, big oil, allowing Intel to expense capital investments in the US, states in the US giving silicon valley companies tax holidays to move, etc....

Once we allowed OPEC to get away with price fixing, it all seems logical and part of what makes competing on a global scale so difficult and risky.

BTW, I believe China subsidized energy prices to help grow the auto industry there. That helped US companies like GM and Ford so not too many complaints.
