Shall we start a cyberpool to determine which French bank goes belly-up first?

I know, I know, a bunch of global CBs have extended credit lines to help out. I still say that when the ECB looks in detail at the rot in the French banks, it may decide to withhold funding or, even worse, the public will rebel and an old-fashioned bank run will take place.

My guess: BNP Paribas, within 3 weeks.

Then, la merde hits le ventilateur. Then the Italian banks. Then the rumors will start about the overleveraged German banks because, yes, they are vulnerable too, overleveraged like a 75 year old former hottie showing off cleavage.

Global carnage, 2008 style. Get ready, lots of action coming our way.

Any takers?
