Half of SS taxes are paid by the employer. Even if we assume that those funds would not end up as wages, it's still a drop in the bucket in comparison to the SS taxes avoided by highest wage earners, personal and employer alike... There's more I can get out of Elizabeth Warren's comment. That's one of the best manifestos for liberal collectivism I've seen in a while.
