Chris,

RE: "I suspect that Iomega won't be able to get away with closing the rebate without a price cut. I know that if I wanted a $200 product andI could get a $50 rebate... and then it ended... I'd be inclined to wait for another 'sale/rebate'. People would just end up milling around until some price cut happened again."

For what it's worth, your comment exactly applies to my situation.
I want to buy a ZIP and was going to purchase one before the rebate
expired 9/15?. I am now going to wait because it is not critical
that I have one right away. But for a $50 savings I WAS willing to
jump off the fence and buy. Now I am wondering if I can get it for
$99 in 6 months.
