Not sure about K's contradiction.. but universal suffrage in itself is not the issue I think... the masses are manipulated of course.. but the elites have a lot of stupid people (history tells the tale) in control.. it is a question of getting the best and brightest in control.. (we are told that is what our politicians are currently... which makes me gag..) hard call... different evils..
