True enough! Angels can't compare offensively with the likes of Detroit, NY, Bosox and texas...or the Rays for that matter now that Longoria has begun lighting it up!

As good as Angels top 3 pitchers are, the team as a whole, just couldn't keep pace with the front runners. I'm sure Angels management thought that Wells would recapture his .280 to .300 25 HR glory days when making the deal with the Jays, and had they been right, such additional offensive output might have carried them into the post season.

Back to current happenings: Lots of fun tonight as 4 teams try for 2 post season spots...Could this be the year of two colossal collapses as both Boston and Atlanta had 8-1/2 game leads on September 1st only to find that lead have wasted away going into the last game of the season.

Not sure which was more improbable, Boston and Atlanta blowing their leads or Arizona making post season play!
