Sometimes you read something and just have no idea how to comprehend what you read...

To meet fuel standards, GM is not putting a spare tire in 16 of 22 2011 car models - saving weight. You get a can of sealant and a tire pump as standard equipment. Who needs a freaking spare tire anyway - just have flats near tire stores during regular business hours. PROBLEM SOLVED.

(Meanwhile Honda still put spare tires in 100% of their vehicles and still get better mileage than anything GM makes)

It makes you proud that we spent taxpayer dollars to bail them out of a long, long string of incredibly bad management decisions and to see that they have learned from those bad decisions.

But bonuses will probably be good this year - they have the fastest production gas-guzzler on the market.

The only place I could think of where that bit of trivia belonged is on the Flame Thread.
