You've traveled a lot more than me. I've been to Bulgaria for a week and people were all very nice and pretty poor past Soviet Bloc and you know what, I didn't see any beggers on the streets of Varna, not a one. I never asked about the social structure. I met an 18 year old that I'm still friends with on facebook. Will have to ask her. She's now about 24.
