I have a hunch the next down move on gold is $1455.

What happened to Nokia?

I bought nothing but Nokias for years and years, mainly after my daughter put one of the oldies through a full wash and spin dry and it still worked (after recharging the battery). My E61 fried instantly though when I dropped in a tub full of water, and none of the moden stuff takes much punishment unless it is a special waterproof design.

These days I have a HTC Desire HD and it really is magic. I pop it in one of these when I go outside, you can still use it through the plastic, and you can even swim underwater with it (after testing the case of course).

Scottish rain is equivalent to swimming under water at times. -g-

The internet access and apps are a world apart from anything else I have used.
