Thanks, TEA Party Republicans! OBama, let the TEA Party Republicans shut down the Federal Government for 50 work days. Then, maybe the TEA Party Republicans would learn their lesson as the public riots would occur by those receiving social security, medicare and medicaid and those who are in jail. Sometimes mass action has to be taken.

Sorry but a government shutdown would not stop payment of social security benefits.
It didn't in 1995, why would it today? There are US bonds in the SS trust fund. The trustee are required to cash in those bonds to pay benefits if they don't have sufficient cash on hand. Fica tax collection is not suspended during a shutdown. I saw Obama say he couldn't guarantee the August SS benefit checks would go out if there was shutdown. If the worthless republican establishment politicians had any brains they would use that video in the campaign. They could say we will pass legislation that makes sure the Military gets paid and Social Security goes out in the event of a government shutdown.
