Ahhhhh, last night was a stress free evening. I didn't have to deal with another Boston loss.

Rumor is, Francona will be gone. It's something I have been screaming for as a result of him putting Bard in during the 8th inning while the Sox had leads. He blew quite a few leads in September. The guy had something like 10 losses in the set up role! I would be screaming at the computer every time he'd bring Bard in. And, Bard would blow the lead.

You don't show confidence in a guy who lacks confidence during the last 3 weeks of the season. You don't have time to make up for those mistakes. You do that in June and July, while you can still do something about it.

Talk in Boston is the Yankees are the new 1919 Black Sox. I'd agree with that. I watched them get extra base hits but would only move up one base at a time. ESPN announcers said the Yankee base running was very suspect. Suspect? It was damn criminal. Ha! Ha!

Now I'm relegated to the days of old, the days of the Curse of the Babe, where every Red Sox fan would repeat the same phrase after every season. ... "There's always next year." (sigh!)
