Thanks.

The ECRI call depresses rather than concerns me. With unemployment being at ~9.1%, with an economy at stall speed, and with much of the hard working middle class vanishing because of falling home values, it depresses me that so many have been suffering for so long with no foreseeable end in sight.

I have, like I suspect others here, been unaffected by the faltering economy in recent years. The primary reason being the majority of our assets are in equities, and not in our homes, which have gained significantly coming out of the financial crisis.

Slow growth in the economy / recession or not / picking up equities at low valuations will allow me even greater wealth when the economy turns and it will turn. All the QE1 and QE2 money, all that 1.5 trillion dollars or so, that was supposed to decrease the unemployment rate, and didn't, is just sitting there. At some point it has to go somewhere and with yields at zero it will get funneled into the equity markets. Operation twist and more (?) Federal Reserve stimulus has to work at some point(?)

Of course, it may mean significant inflation down the road but will mean higher equity prices in the interim. And if it does, the banks will do well (fas) and the semiconductor market will do well (usd, soxl)

With so many investors out of the market the "easy" money is waiting to be made.

Patience and Fortitude is what is needed.

Hoping I don't of old age before it happens
