That argument is so simplistic and so wrong. It is a hateful argument. It overlooks centuries of civil rights abuses that minorities had to endure and the destruction of their cultures, e.g. it used to be against the law to teach African Americans to read.

Many uneducated folks do not know what they are capable of how smart they are if they study. The kids with good study habits usually learn them at home.

Since our society caused the problem, it is our societies responsibility to solve the problem.

If we helped the poor with good free educational programs from pre school to a PHD, you would see that problem disappear. The Head Start program and community colleges are two of the best ideas our society every had.

The unemployment rate among college educated right now is under 5%. But if parents are not educated they often don't know how to educate their kids. So the trick is to get the first generation educated.
