the impression that Romney is habitually dissembling in his answers.

One example:
1) I don't believe that Romney is proud of his RomneyCare, which caused health insurance premiums in Mass to be the highest in the nation. 2) the reason he claims to be proud of it is most likely because his advisors told him that retracting would hurt him politically more than sticking with what he did. 3) if so, than he is a man to whom political ambitions are more important than principles, assuming he has any. That's all my perceptions, and IMO, of course. Hopefully, I'm wrong.

He gives one a feeling that he is too programmed, and his desire for the job is a little too strong... and too obvious.
