trackman, one of the oldest scams in touting racehorses goes something like this.

1) the picks are free unless you win
2) we trust you to send us 10% of your profit
3) we are here for you and trust you please trust us!

so, where is the money in it? well every horse in the race was tipped in proportion to the morning line. none of the players knew what was happening to the others. so, there would be a significant number of winners who, if honest, would pay up, and the losers might be back several more times looking to strike lightening with a longshot.

see, you don't have to be 100% correct to make money. but, if you knew how some operators like fss behaved shouldn't you suspect any recommendaton made by them. yes, all of them!

it is another discussion for another day as to the why's and wherefores of this fss behavior. but, they are be having rationally. it is their clients who need the straightjackets.
