i was in mexico recently for over a month and i spoke with a waiter at a restaurant about this...he said he really couldn't understand the numbers of guns that were imported into the country and for what ungodly purpose.... he was genuinely upset was understandable....i just tried to assure him the american people weren't behind it, but rather our department of 'justice' and it will be investigated....unfortunately i couldn't say i believed the perpetrators would be punished....no one in govt suffers consequences it seems, no matter how heinous the crimes if people think the good folks in mexico are oblivious to this horrific act by our government and the effect on mexican citizens....they are sorely mistaken...
