Hospitals are the root of the problem. Several thousands of dollars for one day's stay, or even for an ER visit....... It is insane. I tried to find some info about how they price their services, but it's not easy. They do not seem to roll in money, buy their charges are beyond belief. There must be a huge amount of waste in the system.
