The A6 and M60 machine guns were not light either.
Occasionally we have hand carried an 81mm mortar into battle. The base plate alone weighs 45 pounds.

The Barrett is a favorite in certain units and they will carry as far as needed…no problem.
Just the generator and folding bench for the A team AN/GRC 109 radio weighed more than that, and the rest of the radio was not light.
I carried the generator and jumped it along with a full combat load a number of times.
Our current army and USMC fighting men carry 30-40 pounds of armor per man plus their basic combat loads.
