Very funny comments about the Irish. The bit about Iceland and men and fishing and money is just SO point on. I remember going to Iceland for investment conferences sponsored by Kaupthing Bank, which had suddenly, from a population the size of Peoria, become this powerhouse punching hugely above its weight. It was fun wading in the hot springs, the Blue Pool, with clients, touring the glaciers, geysers, partying in the capital (man, they and their Scandanavian colleagues could drink). All a bit surreal at the time. The title, of course, refers to the fact that it is prologue for the U.S.
