I don't understand why everyone gets upset for the high fees... LEAVE!

I tell anyone who will listen that the debit cards were SCAMS on the small business as the banks make laws in CA that make it illegal for business to offer discounts for cash... Can you imagine how much extra the coffee shop that takes a debit card with a 44¢ per swipe fee PLUS a percentage of the purchase has to charge everyone to make up for this on a $1.70 cup of brewed coffee?

Hell, even the extra 24¢ on a cup of coffee just screws the profit for small business.

I try to help small business by paying CASH for bills under $20 and I tell my friends why. I NEVER use my debit card despite all the gimmicks the banks big and small have to try to get you to swipe them 10x a month...

Basically, the banks have trained people to become crack/swipe addicts...

If you want to get even with the banks... LEAVE! Only a promoter of a nanny state that can't make their own smart decisions asks the government to do it for them.

Think about it... go to a small, restaurant for a $5 to $8 lunch... how much profit margin do you think they have? Do you want the banks to get 24¢ plus 3 or 4% of that or do you want the small business to prosper or the large places like Starbucks and Peete's to keep prices for brewed coffee reasonable?

WALK! Don't give them your business... Use cash.
